Lotion Holster | ||||||||||
Materials: 1 Set(4) of Size US7 dpns 1 skein worsted wieght yarn (recommend Lily Sugar'n Cream or other durable, machine washable/dryable yarn so if it stains it isn't the end of the world) Yarn Needle Directions Holster: Cast on 34 sts. Divide evenly onto needles. Row 1: Knit Row 2: K1, slip 1 Repeat rows 1 and 2 until long enough to cover lotion bottle. Row 3: K2tog every stitch. 17 sts left. Row 4: K2tog every stitch until last 3 sts, K3tog. 8 sts left. Row 5: K2tog every stitch. 4 sts left. Cut yarn leaving a 6" tail. Using Yarn needle, thread end of yarn through last 4 sts and pull tight. Tie the yarn and weave in end. Pick up 12 sts along top of Holster, preferably with cast on in the middle to hide any loose sts. Start belt loop with WS facing RS of the holster. So you'll be looking at the back of the holster when you start knitting the belt loop. Row 1: K Row 2: slip 1, K1. repeat till end of row. Row 3: slip 1, purl to end of row. Repeat rows 2 &3 until Belt loop is about 2 1/2", or however big you think it should be. Bind off all sts, leaving a long tail. Securely Sew Belt loop to Middle of Holster. Weave in ends, and voila! Pretty Lotion Holster! |
